According to the patent abstract, the proposed method includes the following steps:
- Preparing polypropylene filament nonwoven geotextile, staple fiber needle-punched geotextile, and filament geotextile;
- Placing the staple fiber needle-punched geotextile between the polypropylene filament nonwoven geotextile and the filament geotextile;
- Needling the three layers together using specialized equipment, causing the short fibers of the staple fiber layer to intertwine with both the polypropylene filament nonwoven and the filament geotextile layers to form a composite geotextile;
- During the conveying and winding process, activate a hot-pressing laminator to press the hot plate onto the composite geotextile.
- And finally, applying electrostatic adsorption to the pressed composite geotextile before completing the winding stage.
The resulting composite geotextile successfully bonds the polypropylene filament nonwoven layer with the filament geotextile layer through needle-punching, delivering substantially improved overall performance.
